You do not want to overwhelm yourself and take a bunch of IT courses at once. Some people choose to do that because they want to hurry up and get through school so they can graduate. If you hurry through school, then you may not be able to pass your classes because it can be more difficult than you thought it was.

Look on different school websites and see if they have a catalog where you can look to see what each course has for their description. You want to make sure it is going to be something you can see yourself going through and graduating with a degree in computers. Plus you want to make sure that once you graduate you would want to get a job handling computers.

You would still want to take a few classes at a time if you choose to do an online school because a school like that would be more challenging. Even though you could take classes online you still have to do some studying because when your instructor gives you tests and quizzes, those are going to be timed and you want to make sure that you are doing well so you can be able to graduate.

Knowing someone who has been through something like this before would be a good idea to get information out of that person and see how it is. Remember only you are able to decide what you want to do but you may have to think about it overnight and do not jump into anything you may be unsure about.

Setting up a meeting for the school you want to go to does not necessarily mean you need to start on that day. After seeing the school you may want to think about it some more but during your meeting that is the time to ask any questions that come to your mind such as how much it costs and the difficulty of the classes.

It is nice having a friend start at the same school with you because you can study together and help each other pass each course you take. You can also discuss with each other any kind of difficulties you may be having or anything else you are having trouble with.

A lot of people choose to jump right into things and find out halfway through that they are meant to do something else instead of taking IT courses. This is why it is important to make sure it is what you want to do first before you spend your money on school.
