Can a Celebrity Hollywood Workout Be Effective?
There’s no doubt that Hollywood actors and actresses develop some of the best bodies for their roles. How do these idols of Hollywood workout to keep looking physically perfect? People in general seem fixated on taking their favorite celebrity’s workout and applying it to their own body. However, a lot of people fail to consider a fundamental question: are celebrity workouts and diets effective? Can a Hollywood workout really help you build a better body?
The physical Hollywood ideal has developed and changed over the years. Years ago, men everywhere struggled to look just like the Terminator; Arnold Schwarzenegger set the standard for the male workout industry. Since you don’t see many bodybuilders who are celebrities, it’s obvious that the appeal faded over time. Brad Pitt as Tyler Durden in the movie Fight Club changed the way Hollywood wanted to see actors look physically. Pitt had a muscular build, a tough guy image, and low body fat. His body set the gold standard for years to come and is still highly influential today.
Over the past decade since Fight Club’s release, Hollywood has seen its share of more great bodies. In Troy, Pitt built a body worthy of a god and blew the movie industry away with his muscle mass. Ryan Reynolds truly transformed himself in Blade Trinity where he sports an amazing set of abs. The Spartans in the movie 300 were cast as muscle-bound warriors, led by actor Gerard Butler. However, the most influential transformation involves Taylor Lautner, the star of Twilight who plays Jacob Black.
Surely if all of these Hollywood actors can get such great bodies, there must be some fitness tips out there that are common to all of the workout routines we hear about. It seems, however, that celebrity workouts and diets vary dramatically from star to star. Some celebrities work out one muscle group per day; others perform full body circuit training workouts. Some celebrities exercise for 2-3 hours per day; others simply do 30-40 minutes of high intensity training. Some stars eat regular diets, limiting sugar and alcohol; others graze throughout the day and eat many smaller meals.
The bodies we see on the screen are all obtained by a variety of diets and programs. How did this happen? Working diligently and effectively and never giving up. Celebrities have a distinct advantage in getting great bodies, and it’s not genetics. Celebrities have money, time, and incentive to build the best possible body. Millions of dollars can be a very powerful motivator, and if you were made such an offer, you too would be motivated to do whatever is necessary to achieve your goal in just a few months, even if it meant sacrificing the comforts of your current life.
Celebrities have plenty of time to spend getting nice bodies, so they have a lot of room for error in their exercise routines. In other words, even the worst workout routine combined with a reasonable diet plan will help someone get in shape if they put enough time and effort into it. In addition, many stars have nutritionists and personal trainers to help them meet their goals. Most of us average folks, however, will never have the money or the time or the personalized help to be successful with these routines. This greatly increases the chance of failure.
Can a Hollywood workout help you achieve your fitness goals at all? Can they really teach you how to get an ideal body?Celebrity workouts and diets may be able to help you get in shape, but they’ll require hard work and dedication like any other type of exercise program. However, if you want to exercise more efficiently, then don’t simply follow your favorite celebrity’s workout and diet plan. Instead of hours given to exercise, you might be able to commit only a short amount of time. In addition, what works well for their metabolism might not work well for yours. Instead, strive for the Hollywood look, not the Hollywood workout routine, with more time efficient workouts.
