Tips On How To Use A Fat Smash Diet
The fat smash diet was created for a VH1 show called Celebrity Fit Club, created by the diet’s author Dr. Ian Smith. The diet encourages people to eat better while at the same time to become more active.
The fat smash diet creator has a long resume. He’s Harvard educated, consults on health for a number of television shows, and is on the board for the American Council on Exercise. Celebrity Fit Club, the show he created and for which he served as head judge, was based on the fat smash diet.
There are four phases within the fat smash diet:
One – detox: This is a nine day period on the fat smash diet during which the body and mind are purged of impurities, and during which Dr. Smith claims people can lose anywhere from 6 to 10 pounds. Amongst other weird habits to get into during this phase, Smith suggests walking around in a bathing suit and weighing yourself in front of a mirror.
Two – foundation: This is a three-week phase of the fat smash diet during which many foods removed in the detox phase are re-added to the diet. These include the 3 ounces of meat or seafood, and is based on portion control rather than calorie count.
Three – construction: This a four-week phase is a time during which the dieter creates an eating plan that incorporates foods they enjoy. These foods can include desserts, pasta, bread, and many other foods restricted another types of diets such as the Atkins diet. In the fat smash diet moderation is the key.
Four – Temple: Now the dieter takes the fat smash diet into their every day life. The temple built in the first three phases must now be maintained through will power and control.
The fat smash diet isn’t all good or all bad. Those 10 pounds lost in phase one are due to an unhealthy low caloric intake. In addition the nine day detox is considered unhealthy by many health experts. But many of the general principles of the fat smash diet are good ones – including exercise and moderation in all foods eaten.
